Tickle Bug

This is actually a kissing tickle bug!  We had to get one video with the pacifier in and then one without.  Enjoy!

5 Months Old

Bailey Lynn turned 5 months old last Monday!  She is just big enough to sit in her jump-a-roo, but hasn't figured out that she can jump yet.  She wants to grab everything and isn't afraid to lean forward to look at something up close.  She really wants to be right in the middle of everything and loves to be outside.  She helps me water our plants and flowers (although the deer have eaten all of my flowers).  

Our friend, Jessie, came to visit on Monday and we had a wonderful day.  Jessie lives in San Diego and drove up to spend the afternoon with us.  We enjoyed catching up and a yummy lunch together.  

Rollin' Over

Bailey is rolling from her tummy to her back now and I just happened to catch it on film the other night!  I love her face at the end--look what I did, Mama!

4th of July

We had a fun 4th of July (I know it's a week and a few days later).  We went to the neighborhood parade where everyone was dressed in red, white, and blue.  The kids had decorated their bikes and scooters.  We all paraded around the parking lot and then enjoyed ice cream Popsicles!  In the evening, we went up to the park for a BBQ.  Our neighbors and friends made some delicious food.  When it finally got dark, we watched fireworks from our friends' porch.  The fireworks were pretty amazing, but our pictures didn't turn out very good.  The fireworks were being launched from a barge out in the ocean.  Bailey just stared and stared at the fireworks and we were far enough away that they didn't scare her.  It was a great 4th!

Peek-a-boo

This was so funny!  Bailey was cracking up at this fun game of peek-a-boo with Grandma.  I had to grab the camera and catch it on video.

Grandma's Visit

Grandma came to visit last Saturday and we have had a great week.  We have played, read books, gone to the beach, ate cupcakes from Crumbs, planted flowers, and enjoyed being together!  We did a little more exploring around Malibu and found a new nursery where we bought flowers and a new bush for our backyard.  We also went to a beach we had never been to before where there were a lot of surfers.  Bailey loves walking along the beach and the crashing waves relax her so much that it puts her to sleep (as you can see in the last picture)!  Thomas and I went to see a movie this afternoon while Grandma babysat.  Thanks, Grandma!  We love you!

Toes, toes, toes!

Alright, we are about a week behind, but Bailey has found her toes!!  After her bath one night last week, she stuck her toes in her mouth.  Now every time we change her diaper or after a bath, she grabs her feet and her toes go right into her mouth!  Oh to be so flexible!
