Happy Easter

Happy Easter from the Fitzpatrick Family!
We enjoyed a wonderful Easter yesterday and were thankful to get to celebrate the day with our church family.
The Easter bunny left a great basket of goodies for Bailey.

Bailey loved finding the eggs that were hidden around the house.
All of the children met together to hear the Easter story and to sing songs.
After Bible class, there was a huge egg hunt/pick up! Luckily, there were mostly goldfish and Cheerios in the eggs because Bailey wanted to open and eat whatever was in each egg. I think this is the last year we can get away from all of the candy and chocolate!

Thomas got to preach and did a great job. He was able to talk about the resurrection and the confidence we have in Christ as well as honoring the graduating seniors.
We had an awesome potluck picnic in the park after church. The food was delicious and it was fun to get to visit with so many people. Here is just part of the group that was there.
We were a little slow getting our Easter eggs dyed. We kept it simple this year and Bailey thought it was fun to drop the eggs into each color. We're excited for egg salad sandwiches!

We hope everyone had a great day as we remembered Christ and the life we have now because of Him!

Awesome

Thomas had the privilege of baptizing one of the sweetest ladies here at Pepperdine last Wednesday. Sonia works on campus and has been such a blessing to the students and Campus Ministry. It was awesome to be with her as she made this commitment. We love you, Sonia!

This is most of our awesome House Group that met at our house this semester on Wednesday nights. They are wonderful people and we are so thankful to have been able to walk alongside them for a little while.
Morgan and Laura are awesome girls and we thought Bailey's outfit was really awesome--reindeer pjas in April, her tutu, pink socks, and her white sandals!
We were doing some packing on Saturday and Bailey was an awesome helper. We looked over and she was jumping on this box filled with peanuts and they were flying everywhere (please see the awesome video below)!!

April

We helped Thomas celebrate his 30th birthday after he flew home from a weekend of preaching and house hunting in Fort Worth. (I can't get the pic of Bailey helping him blow out the candles to upload...) Happy Birthday to a wonderful husband and daddy! We love you! (And yes, this is a pie from Malibu Yo--delicious!)
Bailey decided after her nap one afternoon that she didn't want to get out of her crib, but she wanted to read books. Here is her version of The Very Hungry Caterpillar:
Last Saturday we went to a fun birthday party at a bowling alley. Kids were invited so Bailey got to give it a try and she loved it! They had this really cool contraption to help her roll the ball down the alley. There were 2 other little girls that she played with and they were so sweet to her.

Bailey did really well and scored an 86! I couldn't believe she beat me by 3 points~Thomas had to remind me that she had bumpers up in her lane. :)

Sweetness

Bailey is wearing a dress that was mine when I was two years old. Here is my best attempt to take her picture after church last Sunday. She was a moving target, minus a hair bow, and by the end of our photo shoot she was wearing her squeaky shoes!
This girl knows what she wants and lets us know. In the morning and at bedtime she wants her elephant, puppy, 2 baby dolls, and 2 blankets. She wants to put her socks and shoes on. She wants to dress and undress herself. She wants to buckle her seatbelt. She wants to push the buttons on the ATM machine. She wants us to read a book to her while she looks at the pictures in a different book.
She is a love bug. She loves for us to give a big family hug before we put her in bed each night and says, "Squeeze!" She also loves to give kisses. Sometimes she wants to hug her books or give kisses to her animals. We would love for her to snuggle with us in bed in the morning, but she is wide awake and isn't interested in snuggling at 6:30 or 7 in the morning!
Bailey is talking in complete sentences most of the time. We can actually have a conversation with her, which is so amazing. She wants to know where everyone is going, what everyone is doing, and what is happening. She still hums when she eats and during our small group dinner last night one of the girls noticed that Bailey hums in the same key each time. One of the other girls said she thought it was D. Several people pulled out their phones and quickly confirmed that Bailey hums in the key D (so fun that we have some musically talented friends!).
One thing we love about Bailey is that she loves to sing. Some of the sweetest words that come out of her mouth are "Jesus loves me this I know," "Blessed be the name of the Lord," and "Great are You, Lord. Worthy of praise. Holy and True. Great are You, Lord, most Holy Lord."

Auntie and Uncle

We were so excited to have Allison and Darrin come down for several days during Alli's Spring Break! We had a great time together and were both working on buying houses--they found one in Brentwood, CA and we found one in Fort Worth, TX! We only played one game of Settlers and Darrin won--nice job, D!
We celebrated Darrin's birthday with dinner by the ocean.
Malibu Pier
We also celebrated with Allison and Darrin as they wanted to be baptized in the ocean. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful reminder of God's power, faithfulness, and love. We were so happy to share this special time with them!

Thanks Auntie Alli and Uncle Darrin for coming to visit! We hope you'll come see us in Texas too!
