Sweet sleepyhead

We enjoyed a lovely picnic with our friends on Tuesday. Bailey was enjoying pretzels with Evelyn before watching her roll down the hill.

Bailey has become interested in books again and will sit in our laps to read lots of stories. She also likes to read to herself. Last night, she was just reading away but she stopped when I got out the camera. Here is what we captured:

Fridays are our park days and we meet up with several friends from Pepperdine and church. Bailey was very brave going down the slide by herself!

Thank You!

We spent the weekend with Patti and Craig Carnes in Temecula. It was so nice for us to get away for the weekend. They spoil us and treat us like their own kids. We enjoyed relaxing, shopping, the park, and Thomas got to play golf. We also ate amazing homemade meals and enjoyed playing cards after Bailey went to bed. Although it is a bit embarrassing, here is the picture Patti took as Bailey decided to go down the slide by herself. Both of our faces are pretty funny!

This was the night when Craig and I actually beat Patti and Thomas TWICE in Nertz. This is an amazing accomplishment for Craig and me because Patti and Thomas hardly ever lose this game. We were so happy we had to document the special occasion!

Bailey got into Patti's kitchen cabinets. She loved the shiny candy wrappers. Luckily, she didn't know what was inside...soon enough!

This was a sleepy girl when we left on Sunday. Craig was enjoying this cuddle bug.

15 Months Old

We have a 15 month old!

Some fun facts about Bailey Lynn:

*This girl loves to play with my jewelry and especially loves to wear my necklaces.

*She loves to pull out all of her shoes or clothes from her dresser (usually when I am trying to put her clean laundry away).

* Bailey loves to play outside--in the backyard, in the front, at the park, anywhere outside!

*She loves bubbles and asks for them almost everyday.

*She loves to "read" books to herself and is a speed reader (I think she just likes to turn the pages).

*She loves Elmo and wants to watch her Elmo video while we are getting ready in the morning.

*She is saying "thank you" now in sign language.

*She loves to say "hello" to strangers and usually blows kisses when she says "bye, bye".

*Bailey's newest words are "night, night", "up", "down", "milk", and "Bible" as well as lots of babbling!

*She loves animals and gets so excited when she sees a dog or cat.

*She is not afraid of trying new things. She might have to warm up a bit, but then she jumps right in! Yesterday she took off on her own down a slide at the park. She scared me but she was just fine and wanted to do it again.

We love you, Bailey!

Pepperdine Lectures

It's hard to believe the Pepperdine Lectures have already come and gone! Our sweet friends, the Schmille's were with us this last week and we had so much fun together. Bailey just loved Ethan and thought he was so funny. She laughed at all of the funny words and sounds he said. Garrett tried to say the same things, but it just didn't have the same effect. :) We enjoyed the lectures as well as the Natural History Museum, the park, and the beach!
