Laugh Out Loud

This is the first time we have heard Bailey really laughing and we actually caught it on video!  There is a little laugh at the beginning of the video and a bigger laugh at the end.  Her Daddy is a pretty funny guy. :)  She is getting more responsive each day and just makes us fall more in love with her!

Cousins

My cousin, Leslie, came to visit us last weekend and we had a wonderful visit with her too!  Leslie and I grew up together and have always been close so it was nice to just have some girl time with her.  We took Bailey to the beach for her first time.  I took a big umbrella for us to walk beneath to keep Bailey out of the sun, but I think we looked kind of silly walking down the beach with an umbrella. :)  Bailey was asleep the whole time so we'll have to go back another time to stick her toes in the water.  

I had to include the first picture because we decided Bailey has "praise hands" even when she is sleeping!  She is too sweet and makes us laugh!  

Thanks Leslie for coming to visit.  We hope to see you again in May!

Sweet Family

We had a wonderful visit from Thomas' Aunt Jo, cousin Elli, and Grandma.  Bailey got to meet one of her three Great Grandmas and Jo and Elli came all the way from North Carolina!  We enjoyed having them here, showing them around the  campus and Malibu, watching movies, playing games, and eating Malibu Yo.  Bailey loved staring at Elli (as you can see in the pictures) and we thought we might have to enlarge a picture of her to keep Bailey entertained!  We are so thankful for the time we had to spend together.

2 Months Old

Bailey turned 2 months old on Monday (and it is Saturday night, so I'm a little behind)!  We went to visit her pediatrician on Monday and Bailey weighs 11 pounds, 4 ounces and is 23 inches long.  Her weight puts her in the 56th percentile, her length in the 76th percentile, and her head circumference in the 33rd percentile for her age.  She was a trooper getting her three shots, but it was not fun for either of us.  Poor baby.  

She is smiling and laughing more often and loves her baths.  She is awake more during the day and is interacting with us so much more.  This morning, she was laying in her crib wide awake when I went to pick her up.  I must have scared her a little because she jumped when she saw me and then she smiled really big.  We are enjoying our sweet girl!

Happy Easter!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!  How great the Father's love for us...

We had a special day because we were able to dedicate Bailey to the Lord and be blessed by our church family.  Two sweet children read scripture to Bailey and then an elder and his wife (also sweet) blessed us and prayed over us.  What an amazing responsibility and privilege to raise up a child in the way of the Lord, but how awesome to know that there are so many people who are willing and able to help us.

Bailey looked adorable in the precious dress that Nana and Papa Tom gave her.  I wasn't sure if she would go for the hat because it snapped under her chin, but she didn't seem to mind it.  We had a house full of friends over after church for a potluck that was delicious.  And last, but not least, Bailey went to her first Sunday Night Chapel (where her adopted brother, Jordan, spoke).  It was a wonderful day!

7 Weeks Old

Bailey turned 7 weeks old on Friday.  She is a sweetheart and is full of smiles.  She makes the funniest faces and can go from smiling to crying instantly!  She is our little Love Bug!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Yesterday we celebrated Thomas' 28th birthday!  Bailey slept through Thomas opening his gifts.  The fourth picture shows just how excited she was when she gave him his gift.  The amazing thing was that she was smiling the whole time!
