Sprinkle and Pumpkin Festival

Something I've learned is that the 2nd baby shower is sometimes called a "Sprinkle".  We were lovingly sprinkled by sweet friends after Cassia was born.  What a blessing to be surrounded by such great friends and church family!
Delicious brunch yumminess
Thanks to Katy for hosting a wonderful party!
My mom got to be here for the shower!
She made Cassia a Christmas stocking to
match the rest of ours!
I'm surrounded by amazing friends, women,
and mothers!  (And look at all of the babies!)
Regan and Linda--Love these two ladies!
This is what Cassia did during the shower--sleep!
Sweet friends and soon to be friends!
Thomas and my Dad took Bailey to the Calabasas Pumpkin Festival while we were at the shower.  They had so much fun!
Riding the big slide together!
They built a car and then Bailey got to race it!
What a fun day!

October

This month flew by--I guess that's what happens when you have a baby!
Thomas and Bailey--ready to go to
Pepperdine's Blue and Orange Madness
one evening.  Bailey was so excited that they
got to ride the ferris wheel!
This was Cassia before we gave her her first bath:
She wasn't too sure about the first bath, but has enjoyed the last two we've given her.
Happy helpers and a clean baby!
Sweetness
Baiiley and Evelyn at story time at the library.
Our little pumpkin and one of her sweet dimples!
Love that Bailey face!
Swimming in October? Yes, it's true.  Bailey had to show Nana and Papa her swimming skills.
We're so glad Papa was able to come for a visit!  (He had to come so we wouldn't keep Nana hostage for another couple of weeks. :) )

1 Week Old

Sweet baby Cassia's first week in pictures...

Day 1--in Daddy's arms at the hospital
Day 2--headed home!
Day 3--Cassia slept most of the day and through the
night.  We were nervous she might be up all night,
but she wasn't.  Being born is hard work!
Day 4
Day 5--Sweet sisters
Day 6
Day 7--ready for some Malibu Yogurt!
*Cassia had some jaundice concerns so we made several trips to the hospital the first 10 days.  Her numbers have gone down and she is doing great now.  On Monday she weighed 7 lbs. 2 oz. which is already past her birth weight!
*Cassia has two dimples--one on each cheek.  We'll see if we can capture them on camera soon.
Sweet, snugly baby!
We are so thankful for Nana being here
to help us!
Our family of Four!

You have a Sister!

We love that Bailey is wondering about the blanket and the "shower curtain" in our room. :)
Cassia and Bailey gave each other gifts.  Cassia gave Bailey an alphabet train with finger puppets and a Veggie Tales movie.
Bailey gave Cassia a musical baby Mickey Mouse from Disneyland.  She was excited!
Nana changed her flight and was able to get here in the afternoon.  Stacy and Bailey picked her up from the airport and they came to meet Cassia together.
This is one of my favorite pictures.  Those faces are just full of joy!

Cassia Leigh Fitzpatrick

6 pounds 15 ounces
19 3/4 inches long
Big Sister Bailey was so excited to meet Cassia!  She had said the baby was a girl from the beginning. They will get to play lots of dress up together!
Our hospital experience was so great this time and we are thankful for the awesome midwife and nurse that helped deliver Cassia.  We came home Sunday night!
Cassia's first day at home--she slept most of the day away!
More to come soon...

Disneyland

Our season passes are about to expire so Daddy and Grandma decided it would be best if they made one last trip to Disneyland with Bailey!  They had an amazing day together getting to see sooo many characters and not having to wait in lines!  The longest wait they had for the whole day was about 15 minutes (September, mid-week, is the time to go!).
Ready to hit the road--princess shirt and all!
Bailey said Eeyore felt like Hannah (her puppy dog)
so soft and cuddly!
Cars Land just opened up in California Adventure
and was fun to see!
Bailey got to meet Ariel--one of her favs even though
she hasn't seen The Little Mermaid yet!

This little princess had a wonderful day!
We are so glad Grandma got to come spend the week with us!  It was a busy week for us and we were so happy to have the extra help and fun!
