Our Starfish

Swim lessons were a success!  Bailey was a Starfish with her two new friends Conree and Jeff.  It was amazing to see her get more comfortable with swimming each day.  Ms. Erin was an awesome teacher--so encouraging and patient.

Grandma's Visit

Grandma came to visit the week of July 8th and we had a great time.  We started the week off with swimming lessons.  We went to the pool at Malibu High School and Ms. Erin was Bailey's teacher.  The first day didn't go so well, but after a little talk, Bailey decided to give the lessons a try.  Bailey ended up doing really well (videos to come)!
Big kicks and a smile!
Bubble blowing
Grandma and Bailey worked on several different craft projects during the week.
We headed down to San Diego to visit the Zoo.  It was Grandma's first time in San Diego (too bad we couldn't stay longer)!  We enjoyed a fun swim, an awesome seafood dinner, a great day at the zoo, and a fun Italian restaurant on the way home.
This was one playful tiger!  We've never been this close to a tiger before!
The mama and baby hippo were fun to watch!

The Chinese Dragon Parade
We went to see the Chinese Acrobat show and it was pretty impressive.  Check out these next 4 videos...
We also stopped to watch this Trampoline show with a princess and two frogs.  It's hard to tell from the pictures, but they were jumping on trampolines and going up to the platform by the palm tree.  They were funny and this pregnant lady was happy to sit down for a while. :)
Our princess got a kiss on her cheek from the Frog Princess.
Bailey really wanted to see the porcupines--
you wouldn't want to make this one mad!
We had a fun trip and a wonderful day at the zoo!
We took Bailey to see her first movie, Brave.  She was so excited to go to the theater and eat popcorn and fruit snacks during the movie.  She sat on my lap the entire movie and hardly moved.  (It was a little scary in a few parts, but she was Brave!)
"Look Grandma!  I did the princess puzzle!"
Thanks for coming to visit, Grandma!  We love you!

Happy 4th!

Happy 4th of July!  It was a cool, drizzly morning in Malibu and the weather didn't clear up until the evening. We weren't sure if we would be able to see any fireworks or not.  We started the morning at the top of our street with a parade.
Ready to go!
Waiting patiently for the music to start...
Silly face!
We also had a mini birthday for the Fisher's cat, Emma (per Evelyn's prayer requests).  The kids played several fun cat games--in this one they were pretending to be cats and were looking for the mice hidden around the room.
After the parade and birthday party, we celebrated with popsicles!!
After lunch and a good nap, we headed up to the park for a neighborhood picnic.  We had a great time and enjoyed an awesome fireworks show over the ocean!
 Happy 4th!

Aloha!

Our friends, Chris and Kristy, came to stay with us for a few weeks while Chris finished up a project he was working on for Pepperdine.  They moved to Hawaii last year and it sure was good to spend extra time with them.  Bailey LOVED having them as bedroom neighbors, playmates, babysitters, and sweet friends!  Here is Kristy teaching her how to Hula:
These two love to cook and we ate really well!  They are expert crepe makers and we got to enjoy crepes a couple times.  It was a toss up: dark chocolate with strawberries, bananas, or peach preserves??
Delicious!
Kristy officially introduced me to Pinterest and we just had to try this fun recipe for the 4th of July.  After a little trial and error, here is the finished product:
One of the fun tools we got from Chris and Kristy: a cherry pitter!  Bailey loves to use it and I loved the determination on her little face.
 Yummy!
We miss you, Friends!  Come back again soon!

End of June

Aaaahhh!!  How can July already be halfway over?  Here are our end of June pics.  Enjoy!
This was one of my dresses--it says it's a 3T,
but I think I should have put it on Bailey sooner.
It turned out to be a cute top instead!

I've had a few requests for baby bump pictures so here is a picture from 3 1/2 weeks ago at 24 weeks!  We've decided to call this little one "Peanut" for now so we can stop calling it "It".  :)
Now, I'm 27 1/2 weeks along and a little rounder.
It's been so fun to be pregnant with friends this time around!  Shaya is 6 weeks ahead and Kim is 8 weeks ahead of me, so we get to meet their little ones in the next month or so!

These 3 girls are best buddies!  Thanks for the great picture, Holly!

Summertime!
We headed to Tranchas Park for a playdate with Isaiah and Noelle before they left for Colorado.

Malibu Kid's Camp (VBS)

Bailey went to Malibu Kid's Camp June 18-21.  She loved it!  She was in the preschool class and came home everyday with a fun craft.  She learned about Trusting God, no matter who you are or what you do.
Here are pictures from the last day...
Bailey didn't want to wear her shirt.  She is the second
kiddo from the right.
Unfortunately, the other video I have of Bailey singing her preschool song isn't uploading.  This was the song the whole group sang and the kids were turned all different directions (some watching the video and others watching the teachers).  Bummer!
Listening to Ms. Kristie wrap up the day.
After their singing, we headed outside for a picnic lunch and fun in the sun!

Enjoying a snow cone--her first!
Bailey and Lily had the bounce house all to
themselves for a few minutes.
What a fun afternoon to finish up a great week!
