Grandpa's Visit

We were excited that Grandpa came to meet Cassia a few days after Thanksgiving.  He was here for 24 hours and we enjoyed getting to see him!
Cassia wasted no time in taking a nap with Grandpa!
After going to Paradise Cove for a yummy dinner, we pulled out the Christmas boxes and Bailey loved unwrapping all of the ornaments!  She laid them all out on the couch and then helped put them on the tree.
Bailey had so much fun with Grandpa reading stories, taking a nap, and doing puzzles together!  We love you, Grandpa!
Bailey decided to try out our camera again and took some pics of Cassia...

Happy Thanksgiving

Catch up time!
This November, we started a new tradition for our family (thanks, Em for the idea!).  My friend, Kim, my mom, and I made these Thankful Trees out of felt and fabric and we hung ours on the back of our front door.
Each night we would climb in Bailey's bed and tell at least one thing we were thankful for.  It was so fun and sweet to hear what Bailey would say.  Mentioned almost every night was "my baby sister" and some of our favorites included Nana and Papa, Grandma and Grandpa, Hannah puppy, guacamole, carrots, mountains, beautiful curtains, flowers, books, her princess dress, clean laundry, the beach, lollipops and milkshakes.
We were able to spend Thanksgiving in Temecula with Craig and Patti this year.  Since we were so close to the San Diego Safari Park (although Thomas took the scenic route!), we decided to drive down a day early and go to the park.  We enjoyed seeing some of the animals we missed the first time, as well as a baby gorilla and this close up with a cheetah!
Bailey wanted to look through every telescope!
Gorgeous day and weather and view!
We enjoyed getting to relax at Craig and Patti's house!
Happy Thanksgiving!  We are so thankful to be a family of four and for all of our family and friends.
Bailey took this picture for us and then decided to take lots of pictures and they turned out pretty good as you can see below.
Thomas found a great deal on a TV and actually
went down to Sears on Thanksgiving night with
Craig and Ada to see if he could get one, but people
had been standing in line ALL day long and
there was only a limited number of TVs.  Crazy people!
Craig and Bailey taking pics of each other.
Thanks, Patti for taking good care of us!
Maybe Bailey will be a photographer when she grows up.
She also learned to take some self portraits!  :)
Thanks, Carnes, for adopting us for Thanksgiving!  Can we make our reservation for next year?

One Month Old

I just noticed that I never published this!  Tomorrow Cassia will be 2 months old!  Posts coming soon...

Cassia turned one month old on November 6th!  I want to get her picture each month on the same blanket and with the same stuffed animal so we can see her grow.  I took "naked baby" (as Bailey calls it) pictures before I put her clothes on and then she wasn't very happy.  :)
So tiny!  Her diaper looks huge on her!
What a sweet baby we have!  Cassia is a sleeper--we're still figuring out day and night, but we'll get there (hopefully sooner rather than later!).   She loves her paci, but not as much as Bailey did.  She'll take it for a little bit and then spit it right out.  She's got long fingers and toes and has quite a grip.
Cassia's hair is dark brown and her eyes are really dark blue at this point.
It's fun to see her dimples and we look forward to seeing them more when she starts smiling in the next few weeks.
We love you, Cassia!  Thank you Lord for this sweet Gift!

Happy Halloween!

I better catch up since we will be saying Happy Thanksgiving on Thursday!  We had a fun Halloween and were glad to have Grandma here with us too!  Our princess was very excited to go Trick or Treating.  Thomas put up a cool spider web around our front door that you can see in the background.
 Our Hello Kitty pumpkin
Grandma and Daddy got in on the dress up action too!
Ewan was a sheep (in Bailey's costume she wore her 1st halloween), Evelyn was Little Bo Peep, Bailey with Cassia the pea, and Marianne was a monster (she had a hat and was a very cute monster).
Bailey was so excited to answer the door and pass out candy this year.  She had to be careful not to trip on her beautiful dress when she was going up the stairs, so Thomas would whisk her up to the top each time.
We took Grandma to one of our favs for fish 'n chips.
 3 Generations
Cassia was there too!
Bailey is reading to her sissy and it looks like Cassia is really paying attention!
Bailey loves her new dress from Grandma and Grandpa!
We love you, Grandma!  Thanks so much for coming!

In Between Dreams

Our sweet friend, Holly, took Cassia's newborn pictures (2 1/2 weeks old) for us and they turned out just beautiful!!  Her business is called In Between Dreams and we highly recommend her if you live in the area.  Here are a few of our favorites:

Thankful

We're so thankful that Nana and Papa got to come and help us as we transitioned to a family of four!
What I do best--sleep!
Nana made Bailey's beautiful princess costume!
We wanted Bailey and Cassia to be a pair so we came up with the Princess and the Pea.
And what a sweet pea she is!
Thank you, Nana!
I love these next two pictures!  A special trip to the beach with Papa and Nana...
We love you, Nana and Papa and are so thankful for you!
