Thomas and I celebrated our 10th anniversary in June but waited to take a trip since I was nursing Cassia. We decided to go in November instead and went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for 5 days! Nana and Papa came to stay with the girls and they had a great time (they even made a list of all the funny things that happened…something about Papa flying over the couch like Superman and eating extra dessert with Bailey!).

They went to the Santa Monica pier and rode the carousel!
They had church on the beach! I think my dad would like to have church on the beach every week!
Playing at Tranchas park is so much fun!
Our Beautiful Princess, Bailey!
Nana and Papa also got to go to Bailey's Thanksgiving Feast at preschool!

While they were having a good time, we were relaxing and enjoying our "2nd Honeymoon". We flew into Mexico and stayed at a wonderful resort called Dreams. Here is the view from our room:
The resort was great--not very busy, but we beat the Thanksgiving break crowd! The resort has its own private beach which was really nice.
We played lots of beach volleyball and it was fun because we played with the same people who were also staying at the resort! We did a couple's massage and Thomas played golf one morning.
We also saw 2 magic shows, an awesome fire dancing show, and what was like a Mexican Luau (if there is such a thing).
We went on a nature hike which was so fun--we waded through a river and at one point Thomas jumped into a water hole to see a waterfall that was around a wall of rocks (should have worn my swim suit instead of regular clothes!). We also did a baby turtle release into the ocean one evening! The turtles were so small but so strong! Of course, we don't have pictures though because our little camera got water in it and stopped working. :(
We tried to snorkel one afternoon, but the waves were a bit rough and we had a hard time with our gear. So instead we went kayaking! It was fun to see a cave in the rocks on one side of the beach. We also enjoyed awesome food at the different restaurants around the resort--fresh fish and Mexican were our favorites!
| Looking back at the resort--our room was almost at the top. |
Thomas made a turtle on the beach in Maui for our honeymoon, so it was fitting for him to make another one!
He decided to name this one Jose!
Here is our proof that we were both there!
It was just gorgeous! We had a wonderful, relaxing time and were thankful to have some time for just the two of us. We also really missed our girls and were ready to see them after 5 days!
Can't wait for our 3rd honeymoon at 20 years!!
