Springtime

Bailey loves to be outside! Our weather goes back and forth from nice and warm to nice and cool (as you can see from the pictures). It rained today and then cleared up and the ocean was just beautiful. We are enjoying springtime!
Look at these ladybugs on my dress!
So big!
Giving Daddy a kiss

A few more things about Bailey:
*She is on the move so I have a hard time taking pictures or videos of her and she is into everything so Thomas and I had to rearrange our pantry again last night!
*She knows that to go outside she has to put on her shoes. She will stand at the door and say, "Shoes, shoes, shoes." The way she says "shoes" also sounds a lot like "juice," which she calls her cup of water.
*She has decided that she wants to feed herself with her fork and spoon. She is really good about getting the food to her mouth, we just have to help her get the food on the utensils.
*She loves to sweep the floor with our Swiffer. Thomas can't wait for that to become her real chore. :)
*She loves to push her baby stroller and hold her baby dolls and tell them "shhh shhh shhh."
*She has switched to just taking an afternoon nap this past week so we are enjoying getting to do a few more things in the morning (like going to the park with friends on Fridays and starting a music class on Monday).
*She loves to say "hi" and "bye bye" to anyone and everyone. She also loves to blow kisses when she says bye.
So much fun!

14 Months Old

Bailey turned 14 months old on the 13th. It's hard to believe she is already 14 months old! She has grown so much in the last month--her hair is getting longer, she is getting taller (I have to be careful where I put things now that she can reach farther), and she is talking up a storm. She says very clearly Mama, Dada, ball, baby, bubbles, Melmo for Elmo and no and some things not as clearly like turtle and puzzle. She knows what she is not supposed to do and will say, "No, no, no" and shake her head. She loves to take a bath still and she would jump right in the pool if it was warm enough!
My friend, Regan, said one-year-olds tend to be fun-lovin' and fussy and I realized how true that is! Bailey can go from happy and silly to upset and falling apart the next minute. She gets her mind made up about something and is having to learn that we don't always get what we want when we want it. :)
I think 14 months old also equals trouble! This is what Thomas and I found one morning while we were cleaning up from breakfast:

I had to take a picture and then vacuum up the floor because there were sooo many crumbs! I moved up any open boxes in the pantry after this.
Bailey Lynn, we love you! You keep us on our toes, bring a lot of laughter and joy into our lives, and are such a sweet blessing from the Lord.

Fitzpatrick Family Week

We have had a fun week! Grandma and Grandpa spent last weekend until Tuesday with us and then Auntie Allie and Uncle Darrin came to visit Wednesday through Saturday. Here are some highlights from the week...
We visited the Natural History Museum for the first time and it was pretty awesome. They had a lot of neat animals to look at.

This is the Rose Garden right outside the museum. It is right across the street from USC and the roses are gorgeous!

Bailey LOVED this turtle. When we walked by it, she said, "Tuttle!"

Lookin' at fish
Lookin' at fish again!
On Thursday, we celebrated Uncle Darrin's birthday by eating fish tacos, going to the beach, eating Sunday Gravy for dinner, and going to Malibu Yo for dessert. Great day!

Can you tell that Bailey loved Sunday Gravy? She went straight into the bathtub after dinner!
Playdough fun!

This made us all laugh...
She looks like she is texting her friends! (She is really looking at a picture of herself!)

Thanks for a great week!

Happy Easter and Birthday!

Happy Easter! Easter Sunday was also Thomas' birthday so we had fun celebrating both! Grandma and Grandpa came out for a nice long weekend. I tried to help Bailey practice picking up eggs during the week so she was ready for Sunday. Bailey wore a dress that I had worn when I was her age.
"Happy Easter!"
Listening to the Easter story
Look at all those eggs!

Happy Birthday! We had a Malibu Yo pie made and it was delicious!!
