Bailey's Room

Bailey's room is officially ready for her to move in to (as soon as she starts sleeping through the night)!  :)  Nana and Thomas decorated the precious letters to spell out Bailey's name and have decided to open their own business.  I'm not sure what the business is called yet, but if you would like your name spelled out to hang on your wall, please give them a call.
Nana sewed the number picture when I was a baby and it hung in my room.  She saved it all these years and now it hangs in Bailey's room.  Thank you, Nana!
The third picture is the wall art Thomas created through a company online.  You can't tell from the picture, but the wall art is just above her dresser.
Thanks to Nana and Daddy, decorating is done!

6 Weeks and Counting

Bailey Bu turned 6 weeks old on Friday!  She is filling out and getting those sweet baby rolls on her legs.  She is smiling at us and makes us laugh with all of her funny faces.  Nana came to visit last week during her Spring Break and we had a wonderful week.  We took lots of naps, had fun going through Bailey's clothes, and got Bailey's room finally finished up.  We also had Patti, Craig, Art and Ada come visit on Saturday afternoon.  6 weeks and counting...

Family Visit

Uncle Darrin, Aunt Allison, and Grandma all came to visit for the weekend.  We had a great time with them!  Thomas and I even got away for several hours on Saturday afternoon to see Songfest (an amazing musical performance put on by Pepperdine students).  We had wonderful babysitters!  :)
We caught the first picture of Bailey smiling at Aunt Alli.  She just started smiling this last week and is also starting to laugh.  The last picture is from last night when I laid Bailey in her crib and she stretched out completely.  We are amazed at how long she is and how much she is growing!  We are looking forward to Nana coming to visit tomorrow!

A Few More "Firsts"

Bailey took her first bottle and did pretty well.  Daddy was very excited to give her the bottle.  My favorite picture is Bailey holding Thomas' fingers.  Bailey also took her first bath in her little bathtub (much easier than taking a bath in the sink)!  She really enjoys the bath and gets very relaxed.  We love our little Peanut!

Week 4 Continued

Bailey got to meet her Grandpa and Aunt Katie last weekend.  We had a great time with them and they took lots and lots of pictures of Bailey!  We can't wait to see them again in May when we go to Albuquerque.  We are excited to see Grandma again and meet Aunt Allison and Uncle Darrin tonight!

Dancing and "Talking"

Sweetness!  Sorry, you have to turn your head to see this one. :)

A Week of Firsts--Week 4

This has been an exciting week of firsts!
1. Bailey took her first real bath in the sink on Saturday (we had only been doing sponge baths).  She got all cleaned up for church the next morning and actually loved the warm water even though she has a very serious look on her face in the top picture.
2. Bailey went from wearing the newborn size diapers to size 1 diapers this week.  The newborn size were a bit snug and the size 1 diapers are a bit big, but she'll grow into them.
3. Our sweet friends and neighbors, Dee and Rodney, came over on Tuesday evening to watch Bailey while Thomas and I went out to eat.  She did great and we enjoyed our time out.
4. Bailey also went to Collide for the first time on Wednesday night and was welcomed by a huge and very cute poster.  She got to meet many of the students for the first time.  We didn't get to stay until the end, but we will eventually.
5. Bailey has her first official Pepperdine paraphernalia--socks!

Week 3

Bailey Lynn turned 3 weeks old yesterday, but we're not sure how much she really likes being 3 weeks old.  She was a bit out of sorts yesterday, but today has been a much better day.  :)
This may sound strange, but I think one of my favorite things has been to watch Bailey's eyelashes grow.  She didn't really have eyelashes when she was born and now they have grown so much.  Isn't God amazing in the way He has created each of us?
As you can see in the pictures, one of Bailey's favorite sleeping positions is with her arms up.  We are still working on our days and nights and figuring out when to sleep and be awake.  She had a great 4 hour stretch of sleep last night, but then was wide awake from 3 to 4 a.m.  Thomas is such a good Daddy and husband and took her so I could get some sleep.
We are looking forward to our visitors next weekend--Grandpa John and Aunt Katie!
