Sweet Friends

September has been a month spent with sweet friends!  We started off the month getting to spend a few days with Jessica and Sharayah before they headed overseas for the year.  We miss them but know this will be a great year!
Sweet and silly faces with Jessica
Awesome sunset one evening--pictures never
quite do it justice!
Our buddy, Brooks, who lives in Guatemala and works
at an orphanage.  We love getting to see him and he's
teaching Bailey some Spanish!
We love this sweet face!
Story time at the library has started up again.  It's fun to hear the stories, sing songs, and make a craft!
Fun at the park with Evelyn, Marianne, Isaiah, and Noelle
We have enjoyed getting to swim so much this summer (since it's been so hot!) with friends.  This may have been our last day to swim with the Tallons and Fishers before Baby Fitz makes an appearance.  We'll see...
Marianne, Noelle with Lucy, Isaiah, Evelyn, and Bailey
It has been so fun to see all of them become better swimmers!
My sweet friends, Kim and Holly.  Our group is growing quickly--Lucy and Ewan are the sweet additions and will be great friends to Baby Fitz!

Fish

We have a fish on our hands...
Bailey has amazed us with how far she's come this summer with swimming!  Here's our little fish:

August Recap

The beginning of August was a bit crazy with travel.  Two days after our Washington trip, I headed to Grapevine, Texas with my friend, Katy, for the MOPS International Convention.  About 2,000 MOPS leaders from around the country and world gathered together for classes, worship, encouragement, and ideas.  We learned so much and are excited to lead our Malibu MOPS group this year!
The theme for the year is Plunge--diving into
deeper relationships.
We got to stay at the Gaylord Texan--it was huge, beautiful, and a great place to stay.
This is the atrium in the middle of the hotel.
Christy Nockels lead worship and was incredible.  Here is one of our favorite songs:
Katy and I got to meet Christy on the last day!
There was also a Matthew West concert one evening.  I didn't realize how many of his songs I knew.
When I got home from Texas, Thomas left the next day to take the Campus Ministry Interns on their retreat.  They were gone for 4 days and had a great time.  We were going to wait for Daddy to get home from the retreat, but one night Bailey decided she really wanted to sleep in her new Big Girl/Big Sister room!  She did great and is excited to be in her new room!
The next morning, Bailey and I did all of her puzzles!

Sweet girl at nap time with all her stuffed animal buddies.
We got to go to Isaiah's birthday party at the park.  It was such a fun evening for the kids and the parents--we're going to ask Isaiah's parents to help us do Bailey's next birthday!
One afternoon, Bailey was doing stories for her donkey (who is lying next to her in the grass).  I just had to get a little bit of it on video.
