19 Months

Can we tell you how fun our little girl is? Our 19 (and a half) month old is funny, energetic, friendly, silly, and sweet.
*Bailey gives the best hugs--the real kind with a really good squeeze.
*She loves to find snails and wants to know, "Snails? Where are you?"
*She loves to laugh and likes to imitate us when we are laughing at something funny.
*She is constantly on the go & wants to check things out for herself.
*Whenever we give her a snack, she wants "two?"--two grapes, two pretzels, two goldfish.
*Her favorite people besides Mommy and Daddy are Matt (a student currently living with us) and his girlfriend Ashley who she calls Ashee.
She is always asking where Daddy and Matt are and I'm usually telling her they are at work or in class.
*She is my little helper. She likes to water the plants, sweep the floor, and throw away trash.
*She also likes to get dirty and has no problem playing in the dirt, touching bugs, or making a mess. She'll tell me, "Big mess!"
*Bailey loves to sing and dance. One evening we were driving home and she was in the backseat saying, "Eat, eat, eat, bananas" and it took me a little bit to figure out she was singing, "I like to eat, eat, eat, apples and bananas..."
*She is a pretty good sleeper. She usually wakes up around 7am, naps for about 2 1/2 hours in the afternoon, and goes to bed between 8 and 8:30pm.
*She is getting interested in the potty. We bought her a little potty seat and she likes to sit on it and try to go. We talk about poopy often and she'll tell us when she has a poopy diaper. (Sorry, this might be too much info for some people!)
*Bailey loves the song in the Veggie Tales movie, Jonah called God of Second Chances. She wants to watch it everyday! It makes us laugh!
*Water baby--that's all I need to say!
This is our sweet teacher, Miss Caitlin, from Gymboree. A new Gymboree opened that is so much closer to our house, so Monday was our last day with Miss Caitlin. She has the best singing voice and was so great with Bailey. We are both really going to miss her!

Remember?

Thomas can take pictures on his iPhone but then we forget to upload them. Recently he remembered so here are some pictures from the past few months (mostly more from our Albuquerque trip).
Bailey loves turtles and Mrs. Trudy and Mr. Larry have a few in their yard.
Lily the puppy climbed right up in our laps and wagged her tail in Bailey's face, which Bailey thought was just hilarious!

Reading books with Papa Shoe
Having fun in the pool
There is a new restaurant in Albuquerque called Bailey's on the Beach, which we think is pretty cool. It shares the parking lot with the Student Center and has excellent food!

Our friend, Chris brought over the biggest lemon we have ever seen! How would you like to get this lemon slice with your water?
Where is Bailey? She loves to try on clothes, hats, socks, whatever she can find!
Those are some random pictures! :)

Splash and Play

Can we tell you how much fun our 18 month old Bailey is? Her new funny sayings are, "Want some me?" meaning "I want some of whatever you are eating!" and "Rutrow" for "Uh-oh". She loves to give hugs and gave her friend, Kate, hugs over and over again today. Her imagination is taking off and she is playing independently for longer periods of time (especially in her new playhouse). She still loves to read books and we've started reading regularly before naps and bedtime, which makes special cuddle time. She has figured out how to take her shoes off and she will take them off before coming up the stairs in our house. She will also take them off in the car and will toss them behind her, so I've learned not to put her shoes on her until we arrive at our destination!

Relaxing in the stroller
Playing in the sprinklers

Did we mention this girl loves water???
Here is our newest hand-me-down...a playhouse!! Thanks to the Lawrence family and their neighbors for passing along Bailey's favorite place to play. She LOVES this little house and wants to go outside to play in it all the time.

Giving Daddy a big "cheese" smile!
