Wow! We are less than a week away from the due date and ready for the baby to come! I'll have to post a new picture later because the weekend got away from us and we didn't take one. Let's see, a few facts about our progress...the baby is around 7 pounds (about the size of a mini watermelon) and about 20 inches long (longer than a leek). Her organs are mature and ready for life outside the womb. My last doctor's appointment was great and she said things are slowly starting to progress. I go back again on Wednesday for another appointment.
Thomas is enjoying his last few days of uninterrupted sleep (although he wakes up every time I have to go to the bathroom) and I am enjoying my last few days of long showers! We know "the baby changes everything" but we are so excited to be parents, to see what she looks like, and can't wait to welcome this new little life into ours!
Bailey is 2 weeks old! We are enjoying Grandma Nancy being here this weekend. Mommy and Daddy have taken some much needed naps. Yesterday, we went to Bailey's 2 week appointment and she weighed in at 7 lbs. 9 oz.! She is growing and doing well. We are hoping that she will figure out her days and nights sooner rather than later. :)
Bailey is 8 days old today! It's hard to believe we have been parents for over a week now. Here are some pictures with her eyes open. We are so in love with this precious little girl!
Bailey is 6 days old today. We had 2 doctor's appointments on Tuesday and Bailey is doing great. She has very slight jaundice so the last two pictures are from her sunbath yesterday. She has to lay in the sun for about 20 minutes everyday to get the vitamin D she needs. 
Bailey loves to be held and enjoys being on her belly. She is a good sleeper and is starting to stay awake for a little longer each day. 
Hello from Bailey! 
Bailey Lynn Fitzpatrick was born on Friday, February 13th at 8:27 am. She weighed 6 lbs 9 oz and is 20 1/2 inches long. She has long fingers and feet and a head full of brown hair. She is so sweet! We came home last night and are slowly catching up on our sleep. It has been a long couple of days, but has been totally worth it! 
40 Weeks! We are ready and waiting for Baby Fitz to make her appearance. Last Wednesday, I was dilated 2 cm and effaced about 50%. I have another appointment tomorrow morning so hopefully things have progressed. Thomas and I ate hot fudge sundaes last night because we were told they induce labor, but unfortunately no baby yet (but it was a great treat). I went walking this evening with friends, so maybe that will get labor going??
