6 Days Old
We have had lots of visitors and almost everyone thinks Bailey looks like Thomas. They can't quite decide why, but some have said it is her forehead and eyes. We are a little biased, but we just think she is beautiful!
Baby Bailey
The second picture is when we were talking to Uncle Shoe, Aunt Jenny, and Addy Grace on the computer. Bailey was wide eyed and ready to meet them. :) We can't wait to meet them in person.
Bailey
We have not been able to get into our blog to post new pictures for the last several days (Mommy has been a bit frustrated), but this morning it worked so we are going to put up several batches of pictures. The 3 pictures in the middle were coming home from the hosptial. The little pink hat was made by Great-Grandma Fitzpatrick.
Bailey would love to suck on her fingers if she could get them in her mouth (we caught her one time with those middle fingers in there). Yesterday, she found her thumb and had the rest of her fingers covering up her face. She is such a joy and we love her so much!

Ready and Waiting
40 Weeks! We are ready and waiting for Baby Fitz to make her appearance. Last Wednesday, I was dilated 2 cm and effaced about 50%. I have another appointment tomorrow morning so hopefully things have progressed. Thomas and I ate hot fudge sundaes last night because we were told they induce labor, but unfortunately no baby yet (but it was a great treat). I went walking this evening with friends, so maybe that will get labor going?? Our bags are packed and we are ready to see this sweet blessing! More to come...

Weeks 38 and 39
Wow! We are less than a week away from the due date and ready for the baby to come! I'll have to post a new picture later because the weekend got away from us and we didn't take one. Let's see, a few facts about our progress...the baby is around 7 pounds (about the size of a mini watermelon) and about 20 inches long (longer than a leek). Her organs are mature and ready for life outside the womb. My last doctor's appointment was great and she said things are slowly starting to progress. I go back again on Wednesday for another appointment.
Thomas is enjoying his last few days of uninterrupted sleep (although he wakes up every time I have to go to the bathroom) and I am enjoying my last few days of long showers! We know "the baby changes everything" but we are so excited to be parents, to see what she looks like, and can't wait to welcome this new little life into ours!
