17 Weeks and a good doctor's appointment--I got to hear the baby's heartbeat on Thursday and everything looks good. It was a quick appointment, but I really like the midwife that I've been going to. I recorded the heartbeat for Thomas and he was so excited to hear it. The baby is about 5 inches long (from head to bottom) and weighs about 5 ounces now. The baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone and I have been drinking lots of milk! The baby has been moving around and active for a while now, but I haven't felt any of the movement. I should start feeling him or her in the next couple of weeks. We are very excited about becoming an uncle and aunt in the next few weeks. Matt and Jenny are due at the end of the month and we can't wait to meet Baby Shoe!
