Colorado Springs and Albuquerque

My mom gets a Brave award.
You know the foot of snow that fell in Denver for Amy and Josh's wedding weekend?
My mom drove up to Colorado right in the middle of the crazy snowstorm!  Our plan was for her to come to Denver after the wedding and take us girls back to Albuquerque for a visit.  She had tried to leave early enough to miss it, but as soon as she drove over Raton pass in NM, she was stuck driving very slowly all the way to Colorado Springs.  She made it over the slick roads and zero visibility to come and get us and we were happy to see her!
Bailey didn't waste any time putting on her ballet
leotard and getting her fingernails painted!
We drove to Colorado Springs to spend a day with my aunt, uncle, cousin and her family.  We were happy to get to see them!
All the girls
 Second cousins
Lailah was watching Bailey's every move and wanting
to do what she did.
The view from Leslie and Mike's house is awesome--Pike's Peak is just beautiful!
My mom also gets a Brave award for then taking a road trip with us back to Albuquerque--a nursing baby who isn't a huge fan of the car and a potty trained girl who kept asking how much longer and are we there yet?!  We made the 6 hour trip in 8 hours...not too bad.
A roadrunner in Nana and Papa's backyard.  See him?
We got to spend some time with the Schmille's and went to the Student Center for Thursday lunch to meet up with them.  We ate a yummy lunch and then took a walk to the duck pond on campus.  It brought back lots of memories of going to UNM.
Shane and Bailey are best buds
Cassia is looking at the ducks--a bit concerned.
Jessie, Timmy and Shane with us; we missed Ethan
but he was at school.
Bailey and Shane were brave enough to cross on the rocks.
Dying Easter eggs with Nana and Papa
Bottle, please!
We got to spend some time with Auntie Katie, Uncle Skyler, Grandma, and Great Grandma too.  We met up with them and had lunch at Dion's (one of my favorites).

On Saturday, we took Papa to Explora.  He had never been before and he, I mean we, had a great time!
They built quite a fort--they used every single tube!
Of course, the bubbles are one of the best parts of Explora!
Happy Easter! Easter morning...
The Easter bunny brought sweet gifts.
After church, there was a big egg hunt and Bailey filled her basket full!
We missed Daddy, but knew he was enjoying spending the weekend with the Carnes and the golf course!
The Fitzpatricks came over Easter afternoon to visit and play.
It was a quick trip, but a great trip!
